Recommended Vaccines
The following vaccines are recommended for all students entering college. Some are available at Health Services for a fee.
- Covid-19
- Hepatitis B
- Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
- Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR)
- Meningococcal Vaccine
- Pertussis (Tdap)
- Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td) or Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (Tdap)
- Varicella (chicken pox)
Travel Immunizations are also available for a fee. Please contact the Health Center at 608-663-8334 to schedule a travel appointment.
Flu Shots
Flu shots are available by appointment. The cost is $15.TB Skin Tests
Students can make appointments in the Health Services for TB skin tests. Important: Two visits are needed for TB tests: once to have the skin-prick test administered, and then another visit 48 to 72 hours later to have the results read. There is a $15 fee for TB skin tests.
Costs & Billing
There is a small fee associated with some visits. Fees are charged to the student's account. If a student carries the College WPS Insurance plan, every service, medication, or test performed at Health Services is free of charge.
A small prescription formulary is available in the Health Center or prescriptions can be filled at a local pharmacy. Some non-prescription medications are available in the Student Health Center.
