Biology Symposium: Anna Robbins – How resting metabolic rates change after territorial interactions in green anole lizards
Social dominance hierarchies are pervasive in animals, shaping interactions and resource allocation in many species. Dominant individuals may monopolize resources such as territories and access to females. The establishment and maintenance of a social hierarchy involves behavioral, physiological, and morphological adaptations that enhance the competition. Green anoles provide an interesting model for looking at social dynamics.

Edgewood College Theatre Presents Young Frankenstein
From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds. Every bit as relevant to audience members who will remember the original as it will be to newcomers, Young Frankenstein has all the panache of the screen sensation with a little extra theatrical flair in this action-packed musical comedy.

Biology Symposium: Jackson Carter – Maximizing Athletic Performance
Maximizing Athletic PerformanceThe Conjugate method is a strength program for athletes that involves training all aspects of an athlete including max strength, dynamic speed, and power output. It achieves this by using various training modalities such as maximal effort, dynamic effort, and repeated effort. My presentation will go over the scientific foundation of this method and how it leads to neuromuscular adaptations and improve overall athletic capacity.
