As an Edgewood College student, you will be strongly encouraged to study abroad to enhance your liberal arts education with a global perspective. Programs are available across 54 countries on six continents.

Many of our study abroad programs include community engagement in the host country, which gives you the opportunity to engage with locals through practicums, volunteerism, and internships.

Study Abroad Program Options

Where do you imagine yourself? Maybe on a three-week trip to Cambodia exploring health care with other Edgewood College students and faculty or a five-week service learning and study program in Peru. Perhaps an eight-week student teaching experience in Mexico or a semester study program in Northern Ireland. Other common locations include Australia, China, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Start Planning for Study Abroad

Students in any major can study abroad and still graduate in four years with advance planning. You must have sophomore status to apply for semester or academic year programs. Beginning your freshman year, you will be encouraged to participate in faculty-led programs and start planning a semester- or year-long study abroad program.

Support From Study Abroad Advisors

Before departing for your new adventure, you’ll work with your academic and study abroad advisors to ensure you will receive academic credit for coursework completed abroad.

The Center for Global Education will advise you through all stages of your study abroad experience, including:

  • Program selection
