Testing Center Coordinator

Description of Job

The Testing Center Coordinator manages the Testing Center for Edgewood College.  The coordinator works with faculty members to schedule examinations for students requiring make-up tests and testing for those with accommodations.  The coordinator may manage other staff, including student staff, for the functioning of the center.  The Testing Center Coordinator reports to the Director of the Learning Lab and serves both undergraduate and graduate students.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees operation of the Testing Center including scheduling student appointments for examinations
  • Consults with faculty and manages requests for use of center services
  • Creates and maintains policies and processes that determine how the Testing Center operates
  • Oversees student staff assistance for the center to include training and evaluation
  • Maintains security of testing materials
  • Collaborates with the Director of the Learning Lab, the Disability Services Coordinator, and the Director of the Center for Student Success to ensure continuity of service to students
  • Ensures compliance with any compliance standards for testing, including testing for students with documented disabilities
  • Maintains data on testing center usage and shares information as appropriate across the institution
  • Maintains relevant proctoring certifications (e.g., ATI) and knowledge of proctoring trends and tools
  • Researches and administers potential proctoring services for external groups requiring monitored testing
  • Participates in institutional committees as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of the Learning Lab or the Provost

Job Qualifications

Necessary Education or Work Experience

  • Baccalaureate degree required, graduate degree preferred
  • Commitment to upholding compliance expectations (e.g., FERPA, Title IX, ADA, and so on)
  • Dedicated to student success

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with students and faculty
  • Commitment to the mission of Edgewood College as a Catholic institution in the Dominican tradition
  • Interest in testing and learning theory applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn Jenzabar and other appropriate software
