Madison, Wis. (February 23, 2022) – On March 1, 2022, mask-wearing inside campus buildings at Edgewood College will become optional, with an important exception: the requirement remains in effect during classes, and in labs and other instructional spaces. That requirement will remain in effect until at least April 1, 2022.

“As always, my objective is to assure the health and safety of our community to the extent possible, while addressing our commitment to quality of instruction and work life at Edgewood College,” President Andrew Manion, said. “This community has done everything asked of it for the last two years,” he added, “…thank you, all, for your demonstration of care for one another.”

Edgewood College will continue to monitor COVID-19 rates in its own community, and in Greater Madison and beyond, and will adjust protocols on campus as appropriate. Individual offices and some shared offices may continue to require wearing of masks in their spaces at their discretion through April 1. Faculty and staff overseeing offices or other generally accessible enclosed spaces may choose to require the continued wearing of masks by anyone entering that space through April 1, 2022.
