Madison, Wis. (May 10, 2019) – Officials from Madison College and Edgewood College today formalized three academic agreements that streamline the pathways into high-demand career fields. Students from both institutions will enjoy increased opportunity to leverage the strengths of each college.

The first new pathway enables Madison College students, after completing the requirements for a 2-year degree in either IT - Web Software Development or Mobile Application Development, to transfer to Edgewood College and earn a BS in Computer Information Systems. The new pathway also will enable Edgewood College students majoring in Computer Information Systems to add a concentration in Web Software Development or Mobile Development, by completing coursework at Madison College.

In the second agreement, Madison College students who have earned the Associate of Applied Arts in Web & Digital Media Design degree may transfer to Edgewood College and complete a four-year degree in Web Design and Development. Importantly, students who are admitted as transfer students under this agreement are automatically considered for a host of merit-based academic scholarships.

In the third agreement, students who receive the Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Graphic Design will now also have the opportunity to complete a four-year degree in Graphic Design at Edgewood College. In addition to a seamless transfer process, students who choose this path will also automatically be considered for several merit-based academic scholarships.

The agreements are effective beginning with the 2019-20 academic year.
