MLK College Readiness & Success Summit

Madison, Wis. (January 2, 2019) – With the start of the new year, Edgewood College is pleased to remind Greater Madison of the opportunity to attend the 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. College Readiness & Success Summit.

The event is designed to help students navigate the college admissions and financial aid process. High school students of color, first-generation students, and parents are encouraged to attend. This second annual summit honors and celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy and advocacy for equal opportunity for all.

Topics include how to choose the right college, financing and paying for college, developing study habits and skills for college, and much more. Students will also have the opportunity to have a professional headshot taken during the event. Lunch is provided for summit participants. Spanish interpreters will be available.

The Summit takes place 10:30 am-2:30 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Edgewood College. Check-in begins at 10:15 am.

There is no charge to attend, but space is limited and registration is required. Please register online at diversity.edgewood.edu/mlkcollegesummit.   

The 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. College Readiness & Success Summit is presented in partnership with The College Station, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Madison Alumni Chapter, and the Urban League of Greater Madison.
