Dan Schroeder Underkofler Award

Madison, Wis. (May 22, 2018) – Dr. Dan Schroeder has been honored with the 2018 Underkofler Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award at Edgewood College.

“Dr. Schroeder is most deserving of this award,” Dr. Dean Pribbenow, Vice President for Academic Affairs said. “I'm delighted that we are recognizing a faculty member whose primary teaching focus is with our adult undergraduate students completing their degrees. Dan is excellent at developing relationships with these students and tailoring the curriculum to their needs while maintaining our standards of quality and rigor.”

Schroeder is Associate Professor in the School of Business, playing a key role in the Organizational Behavior and Development program. He earned his undergraduate degree from UW-Madison, his Masters degree at Western Michigan University, and his Ph.D. from UW-Madison.

The James R. Underkofler Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award honors a faculty member, chosen by a committee of faculty, students, and alumni of Edgewood College, who exemplifies the highest standards of teaching excellence. The award is given in honor of James R. Underkofler, a long-time senior executive with Alliant Energy, who retired in 1990. The award pays tribute to Underkofler’s enduring interest in encouraging and promoting undergraduate teaching excellence.
