  • Create an employer profile on our online career management system, Handshake, to post job openings and internship opportunities, search for candidates, and manage your online presence with our students.
  • Participate in workshops, information sessions, panels, career fairs, and mock interviews for Edgewood students throughout the year.
  • Host an intern to help students learn technical skills, as well as communication, self-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Explore how to develop an internship program or refine an existing one with help from our Internship Development Guide for Employers.

Also, please review the Edgewood College Employer Recruiting Policy before engaging with our students.

Career Development Resources for Faculty

Faculty and staff help make a difference in our students’ career goals by bringing career education into your classrooms and meetings. Work with the Career Development Department to host a career workshop, use pre-built career-readiness modules, design discipline-specific tools and resources, or offer extra credit for students participating in career development events. Other support opportunities include institutional courses and the Inclusive Internship Project.

Institutional Courses

Partner with the Career Development Center to run an institutional course (IC) in your discipline. These courses are designed to:

  • Provide an avenue for multiple internships for students
  • Create summer “not-for-credit” experiences
  • Equip areas that do not currently have internship courses with the tools and structure to offer this opportunity to students

Check out the Institutional Course Structure and Guidelines for more details and contact careers@edgewood.edu with any questions.

Inclusive Internship Project

If you are the instructor for a student participating in the Inclusive Internship Project, you are eligible to receive a $100/credit hour stipend compensation to offer an internship course. Institutional Course (IC) internship courses are built as a framework for you to support the student in this experience. If you do have an internship course in your program, students are eligible to participate in the program.
