“I appreciated taking Spanish classes at Edgewood College due to the small class sizes and the intentional time Professor Davies took to answer questions and provide further explanations via email or in person. My education felt individualized to my learning styles and personal needs. I was fortunate enough to be supported by both my Spanish and Child Life advisors to study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which allowed me to be immersed in the culture, language, and daily life. This experience complemented my on-campus learning experiences and better equipped me with the skillset and confidence to speak Spanish. I intend to use this in my future career as a Child Life Specialist as I aspire to normalize hospital experiences and build rapport with children and their families.”
