Creating a Globalized Campus

Our aim at Edgewood College is to broaden your understanding of the world and the people who live in it. That’s why we offer a curriculum that teaches you about global dynamics and the value of other cultures. We’ll prepare you to be a global citizen who can make a difference in the world. We always strive to create a welcoming campus where everyone’s viewpoint is valued. Together, we can create a global-oriented learning community that is more diverse and open-minded.

Center for Global Education

The Center for Global Education at Edgewood College oversees and promotes international initiatives to help you expand your worldview. You’ll learn to appreciate and respect other people’s perspectives, understand how we depend on each other globally, and accept differences.

As part of its core mission and liberal arts foundation, Edgewood College aspires to promote in students knowledge and experience of global dynamics in the contemporary world, the ability to analyze and to value other cultures, and the skills to become effective global citizens. To achieve this, Edgewood engages its faculty, students, and staff in the ongoing process of integrating a global perspective into all facets of campus life, linking curricular and co-curricular initiatives, and creating a more globally-oriented learning community.

The Center focuses on six areas to achieve this goal.

The Center’s director helps faculty include global perspectives in the curriculum, plan activities to reinforce learning, and offer global experiences through study abroad and faculty/student exchange.
