Parking and Transportation Coordinator
Description of Job
Edgewood College is seeking a full-time Parking and Transportation Coordinator. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. It is a 100% on-campus role, with no hybrid or remote work options available.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline services for students, faculty, and staff requesting various transportation and security services. This includes, but is not limited to: issuing parking/shuttle permits and bus passes; serving as an expert resource on parking regulations, alternative transportation programs and security services; managing phone inquiries; and scheduling appointments
- Assist with the supervision, training and scheduling of student worker staff including parking enforcement officers and office assistants
- Meet with and provide information on alternative transportation and parking policies to various campus groups, individuals, new hires and prospective students
- Assist with the parking citation and appeals process including database management, citation fees, towing and disputes
- Assist with assessment of all transportation programs; this may include but is not limited to: conducting surveys, tracking and compiling statistics and writing narratives
- Assist with the development and execution of marketing strategies and plans to improve participation in alternative transportation programs and encourage compliance of policies and regulations
- Ensure and provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, neighbors, parents and community members
- Manage and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, including parking permits and print materials
- Maintain department website using SharePoint and Alternative Transportation tracking using campus engagement software Presence.
- Responsible for email correspondence—responding to questions and advising, and sending out informational emails regarding parking, shuttle service, and snow emergency parking
- Assist with the completion of special projects and reports; including drafting and proofreading
- Process incentive requests for participants of the Shuttle Program and the Biking Program
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Necessary Education or Work Experience
- Associate’s degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Outstanding customer service skills and flexibility
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good use of judgment and ability to adhere to policies
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to work through confrontation and disputes
- High degree of work accuracy with attention to detail
- The ability to handle confidential information
- Dependability is a must
Specialized Technology Skills:
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook
- Database management and data entry
- SharePoint (will train)
- Jenzabar (will train)
- Presence – Campus Engagement Platform (will train)
