Financial Resources

Pay a Bill

Students can grant permission for authorized payers if they are okay with others seeing their financial information. To do this, students must first complete the FERPA Financial Release.

  1. Log onto Edgewood Express
  2. Choose FERPA Financial Release in the bottom of left menu
  3. Complete the form including the name, birthdate, and relationship

Once you are an authorized payer, you can make payments on your student’s account by logging into Edgewood Pay.

Add Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars can be added at any point online at onecard.edgewood.edu.

The Learning Lab is a drop-in tutoring center. There are no appointments necessary. Students can stop in to ask questions or request individual peer tutoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is required for application?

Students must submit an Undergraduate Application for Admissions. The application should include:

  • Educational records and transcripts
  • Proof of financial records
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency (for applicants whose primary language is not English)

My student isn’t getting along with their roommate. What can they do?

Students should first look to have a conversation with their roommate where they directly identify the problems they are encountering. It is important to be direct about what behavior is harmful and how it is affecting your student while also working toward compromise. It can be helpful to use “I feel … when you …” type of statements to help your student identify the impact of their roommate’s behavior, while also helping the roommate understand the conflict.

If a student is struggling with the situation and is unsure of how to address it, students are encouraged to meet with their Resident Assistant (RA) to talk through the situation and possible solutions for the conflict. RAs can also set up a roommate mediation between the two students if struggles persist.

RAs act as the liaison between students and Residence Life within a roommate conflict should further action need to be taken. RAs will advocate on the student’s behalf and help them take the necessary actions depending on the situation and the recommendation of Residence Life.

Where can I find information about the Residence Halls?

Information regarding student housing, rates, applications, and terms and conditions can be found in Housing. You can also email residencelife@edgewood.edu with questions.

My student doesn’t feel well and needs to miss class. What should they do?

Communicate directly with the instructors of each course. Let them know why they are missing class and ask what they may be missing. Blackboard is often a crucial tool for students to use to catch up on missing work as many instructors will upload materials to this site.

How do I send mail to my student?

The Mail Center is located in 126A DeRicci Hall and can handle all of your mailing needs.

My student’s financial aid is not showing up on their student account. Why?

It’s likely because your student’s financial aid file is not complete. Have your student follow these instructions:

  1. Log on to Edgewood Express
  2. Select “Current Students”
  3. Go to “Student Account/Financial Aid”
  4. Go to “Financial Aid”
  5. Select “Manage My Financial Aid”
  6. Click on Menu in upper left corner
  7. Follow the steps outlined on the Home/Welcome page

Does my student have to do a FAFSA every year?

Yes! Your student will need to complete a FAFSA every year by December 1st in order to receive their financial aid award offer in the spring for the next school year. If your student waits until after December 1st to complete the FAFSA, they will still receive aid, but some funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

What if our family’s financial circumstances have changed (divorce, death, loss of income, etc.) since my student did the FAFSA?

Contact Edgewood Central immediately! In some cases, they are able to collect additional documentation that allows us to re-evaluate the financial aid you are receiving. Email ecentral@edgewood.edu or call 608.663.4300.

How can my student see how much they have taken out in FAFSA loans?

  1. Go to www.studentaid.gov.
  2. Scroll down to “How Financial Aid Works”
  3. Click on “Repay Your Loans”
  4. Choose “I’m Starting School or In School”
  5. Choose “Manage Your Account”

You’ll also find out who your loan servicer is on this website. Your student’s loan servicer is the entity that handles all the facets of their loan. Your student will contact them if they want to make a payment or if you have a question about their loans.

How can my student find additional scholarships to help pay for school?

Check out the financial aid section on Edgewood Express:

  1. Log on to Edgewood Express
  2. Select “Current Students”
  3. Go to “Student Account/Financial Aid”
  4. Scroll down and click on “Financial Aid”
  5. On the right-hand side of the page, you’ll see scholarships. Check there for outside scholarships.

What can I do if my student can’t pay their bill even after financial aid is applied to my account?

Contact Edgewood Central. They’ll take a look at all of your student’s options—special circumstances, an additional loan, outside scholarships, monthly payment plans, to name a few—and work with the Business Office to come up with a plan. Email ecentral@edgewood.edu or call 608.663.4300.

Can my student see the details of their student account on Edgewood Express?

Yes! Follow the instructions below:

  1. Log on to Edgewood Express
  2. Select “Current Students”
  3. Go to “Student Account/Financial Aid”
  4. Go to “Manage & Pay My Bill”
  5. Select “My Account Balances”
  6. Click on “View Account Details & History”

Where can I park while visiting my student?

Park in the Visitor Spaces located in the front row of the Regina Parking Lot (next to the Predolin Humanities Building). Then, please register your vehicle with the Campus Assistance Center (CAC) located in the Predolin Humanities Building.

If there are no visitor spaces available, visitors may park in any available, legal spot. Lots are marked on the campus map, located in front of and beside Predolin Hall as well as the parking ramp next to Sonderegger Hall.

DO NOT PARK in the High School or Campus Grade School lots, Siena, Marshall, or The Stream parking spaces. Parking in these lots may result in being ticketed and towed at the owners expense.
