College Hosts Renowned Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow

Madison, Wis. (April 10, 2015) – Edgewood College is honored to host Debra Chasnoff, a filmmaker and activist, as the 2015 Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow. Ms. Chasnoff will be on campus for a week in April. Ms. Chasnoff is a nationally recognized champion of film as an organizing tool for social justice and a pioneering leader in the international movement to create safe schools and communities. Her highly acclaimed documentaries address youth and bias issues and are hailed by educators and advocates as an effective tool to encourage dialogue and activism around many of the most challenging issues affecting young people’s lives and school environments.

Alumnus Derek Helmer Named New Men's Soccer Head Coach

In March, Edgewood College alumnus Derek Helmer was named the new head coach of the Edgewood College men's soccer team, replacing Tim Alexander. Alexander, who has coached the Eagle men for all 25 of their seasons, will remain as the head coach of the Edgewood College women's soccer program and will also assume the new title of Director of Soccer Operations.

Bindert Exhibition Large Scale Woodcuts Opens

Madison, Wis. (March 26, 2015) - Edgewood College is honored to present LARGE SCALE WOODCUTS, an exhibition of prints by Matthew Bindert. The exhibition opens Wednesday, April 15, at the Edgewood College Gallery. The public is invited to the Artist’s Reception on Friday, April 17, from 5:00-7:30 pm. The exhibition runs from April 15 through May 17.

Students Continue Service Partnership in Cambodia

A group of students elected to spend part of their winter break in Cambodia, carrying on a mission of expanding access to clean drinking water and basic healthcare. Edgewood College students and faculty, along with UW-Madison’s American Family Children’s Hospital, have forged a partnership with the Angkor Hospital for Children, a teaching hospital which provides free healthcare to impoverished children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

A deep dive into research at Edgewood College – combined with a semester in Rome – continues to shape Wauwatosa native Devin Mills. Edgewood College Announces New VP for Institutional Advancement

On January 5, 2015, Ted Kozlowski ’00 was sworn in as the mayor of Stillwater, Minnesota. His two young daughters, Amelia and Evelyn, stood at his side and his wife Rachael beamed from the front row. It was a proud moment for Kozlowski and his family.

A Home Away From Home at Edgewood College

I knew Edgewood College was the right choice for me as soon as I set foot on campus because it felt like “home.” This College offered me the best of both worlds with an ideal location in Madison, yet still offered all the benefits of a small school. When on my first tour, it struck me how friendly, excited, and welcoming everyone was. This tight knit community is one of the many benefits of a small campus, and it is very comforting to see familiar faces wherever you go.
