Madison, Wis. (March 12, 2025) – The Edgewood College Student Nurses Association has been awarded the prestigious Stellar School 2024-2025 award. The Stellar School recognition program was started in 2009 and only 40 schools have received this recognition. Edgewood College is the first in Wisconsin to receive the award.
The National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA) recognizes student chapters for their ongoing involvement in NSNA and their commitment to shared governance and professional development. Only five colleges and universities made the Stellar School list for 2024-2025.
“As we prepare students for their careers in nursing, leadership is an important component of their role as a professional nurse,” Margaret Noreuil, Ph.D., RN, Dean of the Henry Predolin School of Nursing, said. “The students engaged in the Edgewood College Student Nurses Association (ECSNA) excel in demonstrating leadership at the College as well as at the state and national level. I am honored that they are recognized in this manner. Congratulations to our ECSNA leaders as well as to the faculty advisors for their continued dedication and support of the ECSNA.”
The NSNA Annual Convention will take place in April in Seattle, Washington, where representatives of the Stellar Schools will be presented with their awards.
