Nine Eagles named to At-Large Academic All-District Team

Madison, Wis. (July 1, 2024) Men's golf, women's golf, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and the men's volleyball teams at Edgewood College have been recognized on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Raymond Jordan,  Braxton Brown, Lake Rewey, Blake Stockwell, Christina Eloe, Mackenzie Fruit, Alexis Vogt, Will Gehrke, and Ryder Hill-Zastrow all landed At-Large honors.

On the links, Jordan (Delavan, Wisconsin) impressed in his sophomore campaign. He led the Eagles in multiple rounds throughout the 2023-24 season and finished fifth at the NACC Championships to earn the first All-NACC honors of his career. In the classroom, Jordan owns a 3.70 GPA as a History major. The sophomore was named NACC Scholar-Athlete following the 2022-23 season.

Also on the golf course, Brown (Rockton, Illinois) continued to be a mainstay in the Eagles lineup during her junior season. She averaged a 91 across 14 rounds during the 2023-24 season. In the classroom, Brown owns a 4.00 GPA as a Spanish major. The junior has earned NACC Scholar-Athlete and WGCA All-American Scholar recognition during her career.

On the lacrosse field, Rewey (Stoughton, Wisconsin) was a key midfielder for Edgewood College. He finished third on the team with 24 goals and dished out nine assists. The sophomore added six caused turnovers and 22 ground balls on the season. Rewey was named Honorable Mention All-NACC following the 2024 season. In the classroom, Rewey owns a 4.00 GPA as a Business major. The sophomore was named NACC Scholar-Athlete following the 2022-23 season.

Stockwell (Olathe, Kansas) was key in the Eagles attack during his senior campaign. He finished tied for first on the team with 27 goals. He added 10 assists and recorded a 60.2 shot on goal percentage. During the 2024 season Stockwell became the first in men's lacrosse history to eclipse 100 points in his career. In the classroom, Stockwell owns a 3.69 GPA as an Environmental Science major. The senior has previously been named a NACC Scholar-Athlete.

Eloe (Naperville, Illinois) was a dynamic lacrosse midfielder for Edgewood College in 2024. She recorded the most draw controls in a single season, finished second in the conference and ranked 22nd in Division III with 7.53 draw controls per game. She collected a whopping 128 draw controls on the season. The sophomore added 25 goals and dished out eight assists on the offensive side of the ball. She added 30 caused turnovers and collected 46 ground balls on her way to earning First Team All-NACC. In the classroom, Eloe owns a 4.00 GPA as a Nursing major. The sophomore was named NACC Scholar-Athlete following the 2022-23 season.

On the field, Fruit (Lone Rock, Wisconsin) was a key lacrosse defender for the Eagles. The senior led the team and ranked third in the conference with 36 caused turnovers. She picked up 46 ground balls and scored three goals, adding four assists on her way to a First Team All-NACC selection. Fruit has multiple NACC Scholar-Athlete awards to her name. Fruit earned her degree cum laude in May 2024, majoring in Nursing.

In goal, Vogt (Sycamore, Illinois) was the backbone of the Eagles lacrosse defense. The senior dominated conference play in net, posting a 54.4 save percentage, which topped the NACC. She finished second in goals against average, with a mark of 8.09. On the season, Vogt collected 150 saves, averaging 8.88 saves per game. She earned First Team All-NACC, leaving the program as the all-times saves leader with 550. Vogt has previously been named NACC Scholar-Athlete. Vogt earned her degree cum laude in May 2024, with a double-major in Sociology and in Psychology.

On the volleyball court, Gehrke (Waukesha, Wisconsin) served as the Eagles primary setter. The sophomore led Edgewood College with 657 assists and was the first in program history to surpass 1,000 career assists. Gehrke totaled 54 kills and a .235 hitting percentage. In the classroom, Gehrke owns a 4.00 GPA as a Pre-Med major. The sophomore was named NACC Scholar-Athlete following the 2022-23 season. 

Hill-Zastrow (Wauwatosa, Wisconsin) was a cornerstone of the Edgewood College volleyball offense. He swung for 196 kills. The sophomore was second among all Eagles with a .190 hitting percentage and was named Honorable Mention All-NACC following the season. In the classroom, Hill-Zastrow owns a 3.67 GPA as an environmental studies major. The sophomore was named NACC Scholar-Athlete following the 2022-23 season.
