Madison, Wis. (November 2, 2023) – Employers from Dane County and beyond once again turned out for the Fall 2023 Career and Internship Fair at Edgewood College. The event, which takes place once each fall and once in the
spring, provides networking opportunities for a range of employers seeking talented students with
majors spanning from Nursing, Finance, Art Therapy, Criminal Justice, and beyond.
“The Career and Internship Fair was amazing for me as a senior looking for jobs,” Riley MacKenzie, said. “It helped me find new career outlets that I did not know existed. I met with 11 different companies and gave out
10 different resumes. I am visiting one of those companies tomorrow for an interview. Without this fair I would not have this opportunity to visit with this organization and possibly have a job after graduation.”
MacKenzie is a native of Crystal Lake, Ill., and is majoring in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. He anticipates earning his degree in May 2024.
More than 20 employers participated, including Northwestern Mutual, UW Health Care Direct, Madison Gas & Electric, Summit Credit Union, and more. In all, more than 75 students participated in the event, seizing the
opportunity to connect with potential employers and explore career options.
“This fair is the perfect opportunity for us to meet employers and get comfortable in front of organizations, Amy Brinks, said. “I only went into the fair for a short amount of time, and still was able to get connected
with employers.” Brinks, a native of Pardeeville, Wis., is a Communications Studies major, and anticipates completing her degree in May 2024.
