Madison, Wis. (February 3, 2023) – Janet McCord, Ph.D., F.T., Director of MS Thanatology Program, is set to join ‘The Larry Meiller Show’ on Monday, February 6 at 11:45 am.
Dr. McCord is the Program Director for Edgewood College’s Thanatology program, which is the study of death, dying, loss, and grief. Understanding that grief and loss is normal, how we navigate and work through grief, and
resources that are available to us are some of the topics that will be covered.
“Grief and loss affect everyone in different ways and Thanatologists help families and individuals walk the walk of grief. Knowledge about the dying process and effective ways of supporting the bereaved enhances how, for
example, healthcare professionals, counselors, and funeral service providers care for the individuals, families, and communities they serve,” said Dr. Janet McCord.
The show will air on Wisconsin Public Radio stations and is available for listening online.
