A recent graduate’s start-up is making waves across Wisconsin and beyond.
Sunseed Research LLC, a leader in market research, was recognized on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list, an annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies. Ranked 4,613 on the list, this is the first year 6-year old Sunseed Research has made the Inc. 5000.
“We are honored to be recognized as one of America’s fastest-growing companies,” Adam Jacobson ’11, MBA ’15, said. Jacobson is one of the founding partners of Sunseed Research. “Our remarkable growth is a result of delivering authentic discoveries and unparalleled market research insights that provided substantial growth for our customers around the globe.”
Based in Madison, Sunseed Research provides strategic marketing consulting and high-capacity research management to uncover advanced customer insights around the world since 2012. Sunseed offers custom market research design, data collection, data analysis, and data visualization as well as ongoing best practice guidance.
“My education and experiences in the School of Business helped give me the confidence to consider starting my own business,” Jacobson said. “Shortly after starting my MBA, we founded Sunseed. I used each of my courses, and coursework, as an incubator to test and share new ideas as well as use the knowledge gained to enhance our operations,” he said. “I would get a new insight in class and immediately be able to implement it.”
“Adam epitomizes the type of student who thrives at Edgewood College,” Denis Collins, longtime Professor in the School of Business said. “He overflows with energy and creative ideas, and has a remarkable ‘can-do’ attitude. Especially in our College Completion and Graduate programs, our curriculum is designed to provide students with advice on ideas that they can immediately implement in their own organizations. Adam arrived in class with a gleam in his eye, ready to apply the material as soon as class ended, if not before!
