Janet McCord Receives Fulbright Specialist Award

Madison, Wis. (December 22, 2025) – Janet McCord, Ph.D., Professor of Thanatology at Edgewood University, has received a Fulbright Specialist Program award. The U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board made the announcement earlier this fall. Dr. McCord will complete a project at Universidade de Aveiro in Portugal that aims to exchange knowledge and establish partnerships benefiting participants, institutions, and communities both in the U.S. and overseas through a variety of educational and training activities within education.

Eagles are Dancing! Men’s Soccer claims At-Large Bid to NCAA Division III Tournament

Madison, Wis. (November 10, 2025) – The Edgewood University men's soccer team has been selected to compete in the NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament. The Eagles had their name called in the selection show Monday as an at-large bid. The Eagles at-large selection is the first in Edgewood University history. All previous NCAA Division III Tournament appearances by the Eagles have come via automatic qualifiers.

New Partnership Ensures Nursing Admission for ROTC Cadets

(October 21, 2025) – Edgewood University is honored to announce a new partnership with the U.S. Army Cadet Command Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) which guarantees admission into the undergraduate Nursing program. The agreement, which takes effect January 2026, guarantees up to seven qualified cadets will have a place in the Henry Predolin College of Health Sciences Nursing program.

(July 24, 2025) – In June, a group of 13 staff and students from Edgewood University and Dominican University embarked on a journey of faith, courage, and discovery on the Namekagon River in northern Wisconsin. Women’s Golf Achieves National Academic Honor

Madison, Wis. (July 16, 2025) – The Edgewood University women's golf team received a top academic honor from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WCGA). The WGCA, based in Coral Springs, Fla., announced its Academic Top 25 teams on Wednesday. The Eagles checked in at second in Division III with an impressive 3.879 GPA.

New Name, Same Mission

(July 1, 2025) – Edgewood University proudly raised the new flag above campus for the first time at a brief ceremony this morning. “In January of this year, we announced that Edgewood College will be renamed Edgewood University. That day has now arrived,” President Manion, said. “The change comes about as we approach our centennial year, and as we continue to expand the reach of our mission as a Catholic institution of higher education in the Dominican tradition.” The President spoke to an energized group of students, faculty, staff, and several Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa – the sponsoring order of Edgewood University.

New Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia Program Launched

Madison, Wis. (June 18, 2025) – Edgewood University is pleased to announce the launch of the Doctor of Nursing Practice: Nurse Anesthesia (DNPNA) program. Designed to prepare highly skilled, compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), this advanced practice degree equips graduates to provide safe, comprehensive anesthesia care across a broad spectrum of healthcare settings. The three-year hybrid curriculum begins with a blend of online and in-person coursework in the first year, followed by intensive clinical practicum experiences in years two and three.

Dean’s List and Semester Honors Announced for Spring 2025

Madison, Wis. (June 11, 2025) - Edgewood University has named the students who have earned a place on the Dean’s List, or on the Semester Honors List, for the Spring 2025 Semester. Fulltime undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students who earn a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher are eligible for the Dean’s List after completing 24 credit hours of study at Edgewood University.
