Whether you’re building your career in finance, marketing, human resources, or ultimately pursuing a CEO position, Edgewood College’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program gives you the critical learning experiences you will need. Our rigorous curriculum gives you the breadth to think broadly about all functional areas of business and the depth to have a competitive advantage in your chosen area of expertise: financial, customer, business process or learning and growth.

Our curriculum is structured around the four perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard Framework – Financial, Customer, Process and Employee. You’ll complete core courses in each perspective area to gain the breadth to think comprehensively about effective businesses. And you will also choose three elective courses to gain depth and hone skills in an area of specialization. An integrated capstone experience will enrich your degree with a cumulative, meaningful, practical project.

Business Administration Concentrations

Students in the Masters of Business Administration program can choose the following concentrations:

Accounting

The Business Administration, Accounting Concentration, MBA program prepares graduates to assume the role of leader within an Accounting setting. This concentration is beneficial for those who will take on leadership responsibilities such as budget creation and oversight, contract negotiation, and cost analysis and management.

Data Analytics

The Business Administration, Data Analytics Concentration, MBA program prepares graduates to assume the role of leader within a business setting. This concentration is beneficial for those who will take on leadership responsibilities which require the knowledge of management of data and of those who work with big data. This concentration is beneficial for those seeking executive level leadership roles within corporate businesses, hospitals, government leadership and other similar organizations.

Healthcare Management

The Business Administration, Healthcare Management Concentration, MBA program prepares graduates to assume the role of leader within a Healthcare setting. This concentration is beneficial for those who will take on leadership responsibilities within the field of healthcare management. This concentration is beneficial for those seeking executive level leadership roles within hospitals, clinics, assisted care facilities, and other similar organizations.

General Business

The Business Administration, General Business Concentration, MBA program prepares graduates to assume the role of leader within a variety of settings. This concentration is beneficial for those who will take on leadership responsibilities within business settings. This concentration allows students to customize their skills to best fit future professional goals.

Organizational Leadership & Change Concentration

The Business Administration, Organizational Leadership and Change Concentration, MBA program prepares graduates to assume the role of leader within a variety of business settings. This concentration is beneficial for those who will take on leadership responsibilities such as mid to senior level management, human resources director, diversity officer, operations manager, as well as many other business management roles.

Frequently Asked Questions about MBA

How do I apply for this program?

We encourage students to submit their application and admissions materials by the priority deadlines.  However, we will continue to accept applications on a continuous basis until the start of the session.  Applications considered complete after the priority deadline can be considered for admission for the next session.

New students may start their program at six entry points throughout the year. Please note our priority deadlines:

  • Fall Session I – August 21, 2023
  • Fall Session II – October 16, 2023
  • Spring Session I – January 16, 2024

To be considered for admission, applicants must provide the following:

  • Completed graduate application. This application is for students who want to pursue a Master’s degree, certificate, or take courses as a non-degree seeking student.
  • Official transcripts reflecting completion of a baccalaureate or more advanced degree from a United States regionally accredited or equivalent post-secondary institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or a 2.5 GPA in the last 60 credits.
  • Students who do not meet the 2.5 GPA requirement may still be considered for conditional admission. Please contact your admissions counselor for more information on how to apply for conditional admission.
International Students
International students are eligible to apply for the program.

Can I transfer my credits from a different college for this program?

You may submit up to 10 semester hours of graduate credit for consideration of transfer to Edgewood College for application to a degree program. Approval of the respective department is required. To be considered for application to a degree program, a course must have been taken within the past five years. For more information about transfer credits, please contact your admissions counselor.
