History in the making
With a Bachelor of Arts in History, you can unfold the complexities that shape the dynamic and often tumultuous world we inhabit today. The expertise of historians is increasingly crucial in comprehending the factors that both unite and divide us as individuals, both within our nation and on a global scale. At Edgewood College, we explore the depths of four key historical significances including American, European, and East Asian history.
Within the History Department, we focus on the exploration of historical events that have shaped our world. We invite guest speakers who specialize in social justice and civil rights, providing first-hand knowledge of pivotal events and shifts in society. This empowers students to enhance their understanding of what it means to navigate challenges and experience transformative moments.
Students will learn to cultivate critical thinking abilities as well as professional writing and research skills. Dedicated faculty ensure students graduate as subject matter experts, but also emerge as adept scholars prepared for a wide range of intellectual pursuits.
