Cutting Edge Pre-College Program 2024

For Who?

This overnight program is for high school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are 16 to 21 years old and have a desire to go to college in the future.

What’s It All About?

The Cutting Edge Pre-College Summer Program provides participants exposure to an overnight college experience. During the Pre-College Summer Program, students attend classes about safety in the community, health & well-being, employment, and college academic success. They will also have the opportunity to experience the Madison community. Up to 20 participants will be accepted.

Participants Will…

• Learn about self-determination and goal setting
• Practice safety habits in on-campus and off-campus settings
• Build social connections with peers
• Discuss ways to maintain health and wellness in a campus setting
• Acquire knowledge about legal rights for accommodations

Supports

Instruction and supports are provided by Cutting Edge staff at Edgewood College.
