Undergraduate Admissions Administrative Coordinator

Description of Job

This dynamic on-campus position directly impacts the student experience at Edgewood College and is the first point of contact for campus visits. This position coordinates activities within the Undergraduate Admissions office such as assisting with planning and preparation for campus visitors and events, assisting with marketing projects and reviewing policies and procedures.  The Undergraduate Admissions Administrative Coordinator also provides administrative support for the Undergraduate Admissions Office including purchasing, stocking, and managing supplies and visit materials. 

Responsibilities

Customer Service for Undergraduate Admissions Front Desk

  • Assist in all aspects of the campus visit experiences including scheduling, pre-visit communication, greeting, and hosting guests.
  • Work with faculty and staff to coordinate and schedule appointments.
  • Provide frontline customer support and day-to-day office operations.
  • Respond to or triage phone and email inquiries.
  • Organize and manage the distribution of print projects.
  • Assist with the supervision of a team of student workers.

Administrative Support for the Undergraduate Admissions Office

  • Provide administrative support for the Admissions Office by coordinating and collaborating on processes across campus.
  • Review Admissions Team calendars to ensure appropriate availability for campus visits.
  • Purchase, assemble, stock, and manage supplies and materials.

Other Functions

  • Perform independent special projects.
  • Serve on institutional committees such as search committees as an Enrollment Management representative.
  • Keep up to date with college, departmental and professional changes in the field.
  • Contribute to the campus in ways that advance its mission and create a positive and inclusive environment.

Job Qualifications

Necessary Education or Work Experience

  • Associate degree required; additional related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer service with the ability to react to customers professionally, quickly, accurately, and compassionately.
  • Higher education experience preferred.
  • Preference for a bilingual candidate with the ability to write and speak in Spanish proficiently.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and make independent decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as research skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to adapt to and welcome interruptions in a positive and friendly manner.

Required Technical Skills

  • Overall Proficient skill-level in Microsoft Office, which includes Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher, and basic computer concepts.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software.
