Enrollment Marketing Specialist

Description of Job

The Enrollment Marketing Specialist will assist the Admissions Office with efforts to manage and develop marketing content to target and attract prospective students. The Enrollment Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the conception, development, creation, and dissemination of high-quality Edgewood College promotional material through a variety of channels including but not limited to: direct mail marketing, email marketing, telemarketing, website, and social media. Working in partnership with the Marketing and Communications Office, the staff member will support the college’s marketing and communications strategy to bring greater visibility to the Edgewood College brand by creating marketing campaigns, writing feature stories, editing content for publications, and analyzing marketing data. In addition, the staff member will be responsible for outreach to high school sophomores and juniors to establish and maintain relationships through matriculation. 


  1. Identify new marketing opportunities and ideas for generating new student enrollment


  2.  Manage the production and dissemination of marketing and communications material for the Admissions Office


  3. Coordinate the telemarketing outreach strategy to prospective student leads –with the goal of creating awareness about Edgewood College


  4.  Coordinate and implement personalized recruitment strategies involving telephone, email, media, and print material


  5.  Assist in identifying, collecting, and publishing news stories and student profiles to use for recruitment purposes on the College’s website and social media channels


  6.  Write and edit content for publications, newsletters, videos, social media, and web pages in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team that support the marketing goals of the college


  7. Assist the undergraduate admissions team in developing and maintaining application generating and enrollment activities 

Job Qualifications

Necessary Education or Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 4 years of relevant work experience in higher education admissions or marketing preferred
  • Experience working with diverse population

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of marketing principles, communications, journalism or experience with graphic design
  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated creativity and ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with a variety of constituencies 

Required Technical Skills

  • Experience using Web Site Content Management Software, preferred experience with Wrike
  • Experience with web-based marketing tools, email editing software, and social media platforms
  • Experience using a CRM, strong preference to Slate users.
