Adjunct Instructor Undergraduate Art Therapy (General Call)

Description of Job

The Undergraduate Art Therapy program at Edgewood College seeks adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate level art therapy courses on campus. Adjunct instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom or other settings such as on-line and/or blended formats.

Responsibilities

  • Adjunct instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom or other settings such as on-line and/or blended formats.
  • Duties include a regular schedule of course meetings during standard school days.
  • In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and submission of required paperwork related to instruction within expected timelines

Job Qualifications

Necessary Education or Work Experience

  • Master’s Degree in art therapy required, Ph.D. preferred
  • Hold an ATR-BC and master’s level mental health license
  • Minimum of three years of practice as a registered art therapist
  • Successful teaching in higher education setting preferred

Required Technical Skills

  • Ability to plan for and deliver quality instruction
  • Ability to organize and conduct classroom interactions effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of technology, electronic learning systems, and online instruction
