The School of Education at Edgewood College invites applications for an instructor to teach Biliteracy Development for the Spring 2018 semester. The course prepares teachers for DPI certification in Bilingual Education and is delivered through a hybrid format. The instructor will teach three on campus class sessions and facilitate 5 online weekly modules for a total of 8 weeks. Attendance at a bilingual education instructor team meeting is expected once a term.
Edgewood College requires a training session for faculty who teach online courses. The successful candidate will be asked to participate in a paid training session in the Fall 2017 semester prior to teaching the blended course in Spring 2018.
Candidates must have an MS or Ph.D. in Bilingual Education, TESOL or a related discipline and should have teaching experience at the K-12 and preferably, in addition, higher education.
Proficiency in Spanish and English languages
