Madison, Wis. (Sept. 12, 2017) – Edgewood College has been named to the 2017 ‘Best National Universities’ list by U.S. News & World Report. The college rankings were released today.

This announcement is the most recent in a series of national recognitions for Edgewood College. Earlier this summer Edgewood College was named as a “
Best in the Midwest” college by The Princeton Review, and was named to
MONEY magazine’s “Best Colleges” List for 2017-18

“We primarily measure our success in how well we prepare our students to build a more just and compassionate world,” President Scott Flanagan said. “It is always gratifying when that work is recognized by national
outlets like U.S. News & World Report.”

The U.S. News rankings focus on academic excellence, with schools ranked on up to 15 measures of academic quality. Overall, the rankings emphasize student outcomes – including graduation and retention rates – which carry the
most weight at 30 percent. The top National Universities and National Liberal Arts Colleges had significantly higher graduation and freshman retention rates than other schools.
