Madison, Wis. (February 4, 2025) – Edgewood College and Evidence In Motion (EIM) proudly announce their groundbreaking partnership to launch graduate degree programs that address the increasing demand in health care professions.

This collaboration will provide aspiring professionals with the opportunity to pursue degrees in Physical Therapy (DPT), Occupational Therapy (OTD), and Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP).

“Our new partnership with EIM reflects our commitment to developing well-prepared, community-oriented professionals who can meet the pressing health care needs locally and nationwide,” President Andrew Manion, said.

The degree programs, delivered through EIM’s hybrid and accelerated education model, will be accessible to students nationwide. Most coursework will be available online, complemented by hands-on lab immersion experiences conducted in Madison.

With a career-focused approach, each program integrates clinical and capstone components, ensuring a smooth transition into clinical practice and post-professional pathways. This model, which expands access to quality health care education, also supports the College’s commitment to inclusivity and lifelong learning.

EIM is excited to welcome Edgewood College as its newest partner, marking another step forward in its mission to expand innovative health care education. “Edgewood College embodies the kind of bold and innovative partnership we value at EIM, and together, we are poised to make a meaningful impact on health care education,” Michael Walker, EIM’s Chief Academic Officer, said.

The Edgewood College OTD program is actively recruiting students for the inaugural cohort launching in August 2025. The DPT and MS-SLP programs are set to launch in 2029-2030.

Margaret Noreuil, Ph.D. RN, Dean of the Henry Predolin School of Nursing, Business, Education, and Health Sciences at Edgewood College, emphasized the significance of the accelerated hybrid model, noting, “The accelerated hybrid model in graduate health care allows students to reach their career goals efficiently while receiving high-quality instruction in the field. Edgewood College is excited to pursue this opportunity for tomorrow’s leaders in the healthcare industry. This partnership strengthens our commitment to foster ethical leadership, service, and a lifelong pursuit of truth in our students.”

According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment projections for the fields of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology are on the rise:

  • Physical Therapists: Employment is projected to grow 17% from 2021 to 2031, which is much faster than the average for all occupations.
  • Occupational Therapists: Employment is projected to grow 11% from 2023 to 2033, adding approximately 16,800 new jobs over the decade.
  • Speech-Language Pathologists: Employment is projected to grow 18% from 2023 to 2033, adding about 33,300 new jobs over the decade.
